WHO: Cady and Kaleb WHEN: Saturday, during the snowstorm WHERE: Kaleb and Memphis' dorm WHAT: Cady locks herself out of her room and has to dash to her boyfriend's instead. ;) RATING: Likely gonna get high. STATUS: CLOSED CLOSED CLOSED
The fact that it had snowed way more already than what they had been told didn't bother Cady one bit. Sure, she might have liked to go see Kaleb, or have him come by, but it wasn't like she would never get to see him again. It was true that she couldn't quite get enough of being with him ever since she'd almost died, but she just wrote it off as typical couple honeymoon stage stuff. Kaleb didn't seem to mind, which was all that really mattered. It was fun to hang out with him, to have him close, and it just cemented the fact (at least in her mind) that he was her soulmate. The little phoenix still didn't know how she'd gotten so lucky, and some days she still second guessed herself, but she'd come a long way as their relationship progressed and flourished.
She'd been texting Kaleb all night, sending him cute selfies and just being ridiculously adorable, when she decided she needed a snack. Cady hadn't exactly prepared for this, so the vending machine in the common room of Yorath would have to do. Pulling on a pair of fuzzy slippers that were substantial enough to pass as shoes, she left her phone and everything else in her room without thinking twice. She was only going downstairs, after all. Once her snacks were secured, she was back up to her door in an instant it seemed, which is about when she realized her fatal mistake: she'd locked the door.
A memory flashed in her mind of her turning the lock out of habit, which caused her to groan. Cady didn't have her keys, and she had no idea how to pick a lock; not that she had anything to pick it with, either. Sighing, she bit her lip as she cycled through her options. Without a phone, her hope of rescue was nonexistent. There was only one thing to do, it seemed. Head to Kaleb's room.
Taking a deep breath at the door to her dorm, she glanced down at her skimpy pajamas. It was a good thing she could call on a bit of the phoenix fire, though even that wouldn't keep her from total freezing. Clutching the snacks to her chest, Cady took off out of the building at a run. The wind bit at her face, whipping her hair around her face fervently as she scurried through. Wet snow sloshed on her bare legs and arms, clinging to her eyelashes and hair as she focused only on getting to Zeno. By the time she arrived, her hair was damp and clinging to her skin in places, her crop top was stuck to her body in such a way that would have made her blush if she hadn't been shaking from cold. It hadn't been as bad as it could have been, but she was still eager to get to Kaleb's door.
Stopping outside it, Cady knocked, her hand shaking as she crossed her arms over her chest and tried not to shiver.
