Paine didn’t answer her right away. Instead moving to grab a towel and lean against the car he was working on. She knew the car. It was Orkia's, a fact that annoyed her. It wasn't like Paine avoided girls or even people in general. He just avoided her. When he spoke he didn’t answer either of her questions and instead asked one of his own. A hard one and one she had asked herself before. Automatically she started to tell him she didn’t have a reason for wanting him but cut herself off.
"Because there is something there. Something real that I don't want to just let vanish." Ailee caught his eyes. She was about to launch in to a rambling description of what she felt when he cut her off, telling her they were from two different worlds. "We know so little of each other and yet you are so sure we are completely different." She knew what he meant about being from different worlds right now. Her glitz and glamour life compared to his world of sweat and tire grease. But the internet didn’t talk about her life before the glamour.
"Girl who has everything?" She echoed. They really didn’t know anything about each other. "Yeah, I can buy myself practically anything. I have money and fame and there are lots of people that say they love me but I don’t think most of them really do." She voice trailed off at the end as if saying that made it more real. "I can count on my hands the amount of time that I have felt truly cared for. And for some reason you make me feel that." She stopped speaking rather abruptly as if she realized that she was revealing a lot more of herself with a couple sentences than she did with most people.
