Who: London and Romeo When: around 11 pm January 1st Where: Romeo's Room What: London runs to her ex for support Rating: Who Knows
The hall was nearly completely dark as London moved blindly through it. She didn’t care to look where she was going she just wanted to get away. She was vaguely aware of the tears that were running down her face. She kept moving until she reached a dead end. The moment she stopped she could feel the strength go out of her knees. London pulled her robe closer around her as she sat on the stone floor. She was wearing far too little clothing to be out of her warm bedroom. Or any warm bedroom for that matter. Under her robe the strap of her baby doll slip was broken and there were clear scratch marks on her shoulder where Jeb had tried to stop her from leaving. She still couldn’t believe what had happened and she sat alone for a period. She moved to brush the tears off her check and the light touch made her wince. She didn’t want to think about the fact that she was sure it was already bruising. She still couldn’t believe he had hit her. He had gotten so mad; she had never seen someone that mad before.
It had started early last night. She had been talking to Jeb about going to party for New Years. He had been completely against going. As far as she had been concerned it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Actually it was the type of party that London felt more at home now. They reminded her of life when she was with Romeo. Maybe that’s why Jeb was so against it. Of course that hadn't really occurred to her at the time and the fact that Jeb had basically forbidden her from going only made London more determined to. So she went anyway, with Vi and Taylor. She had a blast and had gotten perfectly drunk. It had been wonderful and Taylor had done a perfect job of taking care of both her and Vi. She hadn't seen Jeb at all day and he hadn't turn up at her room until late. She had already gotten changed for bed when he came in without even knocking. They ensuing fight had been instantaneous. He was furious that she had disobeyed him and to make it worse there were pictures of Taylor carrying her back in to school after she had passed out on the ride back. Some other guy had had to take care of his girlfriend. London couldn’t tell if he was madder about that or the disobeying. Either way she was having none of either of it. She had fought back and had been in the middle of yelling something at him when his hand swung. That initial blow had been hard enough to knock her in to the wall. She recovered fast enough to duck the second blow and headed for the door. She had paused long enough to grab her robe and slippers, which had given him a chance to try to stop her, breaking the strap of her slip in the process. She had been running through the hallways since. She didn’t know what to do. As she sat against the wall she ran a list of places she could go through her head. All of them led to someone going to beat the shit out of Jeb. All but one anyway.
She was on her feet, moving through the hallways before she was fully aware of the fact that she had made a decision. London was at Romeo's dorm in just a few minutes, apparently had been much closer to him than she had thought she was. She didn’t even bother to knock, knowing that he room would be unlocked. Romeo only locked it if he had a need to lock it. She easily let herself in and locked the door behind. The last thing she wanted was for Jeb to come looking of her here. She found Romeo already asleep, probably still out from going to bed at some ridiculous hour after his New Year’s gig. London paused long to slip her slippers of her feet before she crawled in to bed with him, purposely pressing the damaged side of her face in to the pillow so if he woke it wouldn’t be the first thing he saw.
