Kiely was caught between being amused, and being annoyed, as Maddox rambled about his sisters new, perfect, boyfriend and what a normal couple should be doing on a weekend. Though the whole 'normal' couple thing was more just being annoyed as what more than one person was deeming to be 'normal'. The more people pointed out what 'normal' couples did, the more abnormal she felt and her defensive nature came out.
The younger shifter was mulling this when the doors burst open and a rush of black uniforms entered the building. Kiely experienced an instant of panic. What the hell. Everyone knew that "Saints & Sinners" was never raided. She was frozen for a moment, but in the end had her mind made up for her when a strong grip pulled her to the floor.
It wasn't in Kiely's nature to be manhandled and the feeling of a strangers hands on her brought that defensiveness to the forefront again and she had to hold her tongue so that she didn't insult Maddox, or cause such a stir that she would draw the notice of the police. That certainly didn't stop the flash of anger that crossed the shifter's face, or the slight growl that rumbled from her throat.
Still, Kiel wasn't stupid and she knew that her best chance of getting out of the club without notice was Maddox Lennon. So she followed without another word; thankful that she was deft on her feet as the older boy quickly pulled her through room after room very quickly. She was so worried at the thought of being caught that she didn't even notice the tingle of electricity as the witch entwined her hand with his own so as not to lose her.
Once outside, Kiely thought again of running off on her own. If she could shift, the police wouldn't catch her, right? Of course not, she was a cheetah. They couldn't even catch her with dogs. Of course, she still had to break for it with only god knew how many of them just outside the gate...and how many cheetahs were roaming about Mystic Veil?
The younger girl quickly made up her mind and allowed Maddox to boost her up the ladder. She followed quickly and quietly up the three floors to a window that the witch opened and told her to go in. Her eyes adjusted immediately to the darkness and her nose could tell that this was his living space....it just smelled like Maddox. She watched as he bolted the door, took out his phone to text someone, and then comfortably sat on a couch. Kiel's brain was racing. Should she stay, or try to make her way downstairs as if she had been here all along? But wait.....Kiely raised her hand to her head where she confirmed that she'd left her hat downstairs. Shit!
So caught up her own thoughts she didn't hear the shuffle of claws until she heard the two growls at her feet. Glancing down, she noticed two small dogs who were rather unhappy with the intruder. Backing away, Kiely muttered softly, "Ho..how long do you think they'll be downstairs?" She bumped her hip against a table and gasped, but the witch's two protectors continued to advance, "Um, do these two bite?" She tried to cut around the arm of the couch but her leg caught the coffee table leg and it caused Kiely to trip. She landed rather unceremoniously across Maddie's lap.
