THREAD: MADDOX & KIELY
WHO: Maddie & Kiely WHEN: Saturday October 11th, Night: around midnight. WHERE: Angels & Kings WHAT: Maddie is off his game and Kiely runs into him. They end up confiding in each other. RATING: Mild. Possible language. OPEN: Probably not.
Maddox sat at the downstairs bar of his father's bar Angel's & Kings. His father was away for the weekend, his sister was with that annoyingly perfect boyfriend of hers, and Tylen had headed off to see Thea after the show. This left Maddie alone with his thoughts. He had performed well enough, giving it everything he had as he always did, but anyone who knew him would know something was off in the witch. After saying good bye to Tylen, he had headed to the downstairs bar. One or two girls tried to stop him to say something, batting their eyes and pushing out their cleavage at him, but Maddie wasn't really in the mood for it tonight. The playboy act was getting old. Lately as he was watching all those closest to him in committed relationships being so happy, he kinda wanted that. And that thought bothered him.
Indicating to the bartender he wanted another beer, he sat alone at the end of the bar. He was lost in his own thoughts about his mother's upcoming wedding in a few weeks. He technically had a plus one and he had no idea who he was going to bring. Sure he could probably bring Chelsea or Xanthe, but while they were both great friends, they weren't really a DATE, not like his sister would have, and Tylen would. The idea of asking Morgana, his current fuck buddy was completely laughable. They fucked, but he wasn't sure anyone even knew about it. Tylen and Xanthe knew, because Maddie had told him, but the way she talked to him in public made it look like she completely disdained him. Of course he wasn't sure he actually liked her either, but the sex was pretty damn good.
His next beer appeared and he took it with a silent nod at Carlos the gay bartender. Carlos winked at him and went back to flirting with a gaggle bachorlettes to get a better tip. Seeing the gaudy party, made his face darken, thinking of his mother marrying that wealthy attorney, the one she used to divorce his father and leave behind her children. And he was expected to attend her wedding and be the good son. He still barely spoke to her, but it had been his father who had convinced him to go. For Lennie. She was acting so excited for this fancy wedding. So for his sister he would endure it. And then go back to ignoring his mother. He raised the beer to his lips as he looked away from the noisy party
