Rayce had lost track of just how long he had been in one of the mystic Viel dance studios. He had been working on something new and had just kept going until he couldnt go anymore. His breathing was still shallow and he stopped his music and picked up his bag. As he left the studio Rayce was wiping the sweat off his shirtless body. He needed to take a shower before he went to meet up with Etsi.
The sound of a familiar song caused him to pause though. There was a ghost of a smile on his face as he listened for a moment. It was only fitting that the music remind him of Annie. It had been their best routine together. he had began to force himself to continue to walk away when the sounds of the beautiful music was interrupted by the faint sound of yelling. he couldn't make out the words but he could hear the anger. he hesitated again. Though it was really none of his business Rayce hated hearing anyone yell like that. Especially if he was right and they were yelling at Annie with that tone. It couldnt but to just peak in to see if things were actually alright.
he opened the door just enough to peer in to the room. They were no longer yelling. Instead they were moving though the dance. As Rayce watched he had to fight back the feeling of jealously at someone else dancing with her to this song. Of course that feeling wasnt helped by the fact that he wasnt nearly good enough to actually do what was needed to keep up with a talent like Annie's. That was none of his concern, he reminded himself as he tried to force himself to set back out the door before either of them noticed his presence. He must have heard the fighting wrong. He didnt think Annie would continue to work if she didnt want to. Though it never occurred to him that someone might make her.
Rayce glance back just in time to see Mark's hands drop. He could see on his face in that moment that he had no intention of catching Annie and she was in no position to try to help herself. Rayce bolted towards the falling girl. The floor would be so unforgiving to a crash like this one but Rayce couldn't get there fast enough. His eyes grew wide as she hit the ground. It didn't take alot of experience to see that she instantly blacked out. Now it was Rayce's turn to be angry.
he turned sharply on Mark demanding an explanation as to why the fuck he hadn't even tried to catch her. The unsatisfactory answer he got resulted in Rayce's fist colliding with his cheek bone. The fact that Mark seemed to think that letting Annie fall was a good punishment for his inability to catch her was mind blowing to Rayce and the two boys were quickly locked in a fist fight, each of them taking their fair share of blows. Finally it was a well placed punch from Rayce that sent Mark to the ground, which finally allowed him to turn his full attention to Annie.
"Annie?" He spoke softly as he knelt down next to her and gently shook her shoulders attempting to elicit a response from her
