Tylen had to resist the massive urge to slam the door shut as Thea turned and walked away. His fingers gripped the knob so tightly that his knuckles turned a lovely shade of pale white. Part of his brain was screaming to just walk out the door and leave, while another part was saying that the two of them needed to resolve the issue...whatever that might be. After a moment, the latter thought won out and Tylen closed the door roughly, but didn't slam it.
"I never said you were selfish," the crow growled, "and I never said you overstayed your welcome either." Though his tone was firm almost to the point of being harsh or sarcastic, he was truly trying to control himself. He didn't want to upset Thea, or scare her. Maybe that was part of their problem now; Tylen just didn't know how to speak to Thea at times. Especially ever since the kidnapping.
The crow wasn't naive enough to think his princess would just 'get over it', but he also knew she would be better equipped to deal with her feelings and fears if she would be willing to get professional help. Yet, that wasn't happening. Now the two of them just seem to misunderstand each other more often than they did before. As much as Thea professed to feeling more safe with Tylen, the crow felt the
complete
opposite....as if he was no good, and no help, to her.
His dark eyes stared at her rigid back before he sighed and ran a hand through his hair,"I don't know what to say to you anymore, Thea. I would like nothing more than to keep you with me all the time, but I can't. It's not fair to either of us."
