"The hint where you said, basically, that you didn't want me around all the time like I was before," she answered, as if it should have been obvious. To Thea, at least, it was. She didn't understand what part of this was supposedly angering to Tylen, and was actually a little surprised when he braced his hand in the door as she stepped back. She'd been intending to let him in, but obviously he had different ideas of her intentions. As usual.
Raising an eyebrow as if asking what he meant by 'this', her expression transformed as he continued. At first, Thea was curious, but now she was visibly angry. Her hands were shaking as she balled them into fists, and it took every ounce of willpower she had not to wrestle the door from Tylen's grip and slam it after all.
"That's exactly what you don't get. I wasn't mad because you couldn't be here at the exact moment I wanted you. I'm not that needy, though apparently you believe I'm that selfish." Shaking, she bit her lip, crossing her arms now as if that would help hold her together. "It was never about the fact that you couldn't come right away. I was genuinely just disappointed. I just felt deflated that my plan couldn't be enacted, but I wasn't mad. I only got mad when you insinuated that I expected you to jump at my beck and call, as if that's the kind of person you think I am," she went on, shaking her head as she bit her lip. She would not cry. She wasn't the girl who used tears to win an argument.
"I'm sorry that me wishing you had not been busy when I got up the idea to text you those pictures was apparently such a selfish thing to do. I'm sorry that whatever I've been doing lately as I've been spending a lot of time with you, since feeling like you are the only thing that can make me feel truly safe anymore, has made you think I'm some pathetic needy girlfriend that you can no longer tolerate." Stopping, she had to take a deep breath so that she could stem the hot prickly feeling behind her eyes.
"I'm sorry I've made you feel like you didn't have any space, and that I put you in the position to resent me when I overstayed my welcome," she finished quietly, resisting the urge to throw in his face that it probably would have been better if she'd never been rescued. She didn't think she could say it without breaking down anyway. Since Tylen was blocking the door, she didn't even try to slam it, instead turned on her heel and walked back into the room. Hopefully he'd get the hint and follow.
