Who: Kaleb and Memphis Where: Hospital. When: After Storm was there, about two hours later. Rating: Moderate. Open: London and Dallas are welcome. Kaleb had thought Memphis had up and gone to his family or something, that he was finally sick of Kaleb being his shadow and attached to his hip that he'd gone. But a couple of days ago Kaleb realized how wrong he was- he'd seen the letter from Storm on Memphis' bed and shamelessly read it without actually touching it. He'd concluded Memphis had left school to get over this final stab at his heart. Days passed and Memphis didn't return any of Kaleb's messages, Memphis had always at least sent an "Okay" to Kaleb when he text. So as the days passed and this stupid lock down and everything else was over Kaleb was pretty much climbing the walls and had worked himself up with numerous stupid ideas about where Memphis was- in the Bahamas with a harem of ladies, Vegas gambling and drinking his life away, Mexico... Well who knows what Memphis could get up to in Mexico. Kaleb hadn't really been around Iggy and Seth, he hadn't even been around Cady much since Memphis had become depressed.
And then Dallas had sent him a text which ended in Kaleb having one of those horrible moments where your whole world seemed to stop and it took a huge surge of power to try and get it started again. Dallas had only told Kaleb that Memphis was in Hospital but deep down Kaleb knew why, he didn't need to ask Dallas, he knew Memphis had pushed it too far, that he'd finally dived over the edge and that they'd nearly lost him. Kaleb knew he had no right to be sad, to be anything other than supportive but he couldn't help it. To him Memphis wasn't just a friends, he was more- a brother, a comrade, a band mate... And so much more. And Kaleb had nearly lost him. He'd tried to remain calm like Dallas wanted but he couldn't. He'd first taken it out on a wall which ended up having a fist hole in it and then his mind caught up and he knew exactly what deserved to be punched. So he'd hunted down those who were responsible and had found one. He wasn't proud to admit that he'd let rage take over and he'd kicked the guys ass but in Kaleb's mind he deserved it- Memphis had said pull the trigger and Greg had done so. What kind of fucking idiot encourages such behavior?! One who got their face fucked up. Kaleb had broken Greg's nose and pummeled his face before being dragged off by two professors. Greg had only managed to get Kaleb twice- once in the eye and one on the jaw, but Kaleb's adrenaline had him not caring.
He didn't even care about the Gossip Bitch blast, it made him look like a psycho but he knew his attack was justified. What he did care about was taking this anger in him out on Cady. She wasn't his punching bag and it was uncalled for, extremely uncalled for. So he'd tried to make things better as he was getting dressed to go and see Memphis but he felt absolutely horrible still even as he excused himself so he could head down to the Hospital. The trip down there was a silent one made by himself- he didn't even know why he was here right now. Obviously Memphis didn't want to be around anymore so why should Kaleb be here? Kaleb sat in his car for a long time staring at the wall in front of him- had he failed Memphis? Could he have done anything differently to prevent this? Kaleb didn't know and he knew it was stupid to feel responsible for someone else's actions but he couldn't help it.
He sat there for a while longer before rummaging around int he front compartment and finding a pair of sunglasses- he didn't know if they were his sisters, his or one of the boys but they covered his eyes well and they were dark enough that not even he could see his eyes. He slipped out of the car and straightened himself out he was in a black blazer and dark jeans- he looked like he could be going to a funeral though he hadn't dressed with that in mind. He slammed the door and slowly made his way upstairs. The nurses stared at him a lot as he made his way through the corridors, Kaleb didn't have any of his usual energy or cheer- he looked completely different! He finally entered the corridor and was greeted with the service men thoguh they didn't block his way they shook his hand and were quite nice to him, considering every other time they had been stern faced and boring. He greeted Dallas with a handshake and kissed London on the cheek but he didn't say anything at all, he was silent. Kaleb Ryans had never been Silent in his entire life, but now he was. He entered Memphis' room and stood there for a long time, still not talking or even moving anymore. The hand hidden in his blazer was shaking as he stood there staring at the form of Memphis. The seconds felt like hours as he stood there and he was seriously considering just leaving Memphis in peace.
