BACKDATED: APRIL 20TH: RORY & HEITH
WHO: Rory and Heith (Possibly some other later) WHEN: April 20th- around Midnight. WHERE: Hospital- Rory's Room in ICU WHAT: Rory wakes up after the accident. RATING: Low. OPEN: Possibly. Just ask.
The car accident had been just that: an accident. But that didn't change how badly injured Rory was. The impact and subsequent flipping of the car had injured the vampire very seriously. If she had been human she would have been dead. However Rory wasn't a human, she was a vampire. But even her supernatural bloodline almost wasn't enough to keep her from joining her brother in becoming the undead variety of vampire. The dancer was severely injured as the seat belt she wore religiously hadn't allowed her to be thrown from the vehicle, which might have saved her from the beating her body took instead. She had to be cut out of the seat belt and taken away in an ambulance to the horror of her friends. Hanley had been hurt, but had been able to walk away from the crash with only a broken wrist, some bruising and a dislocated shoulder. By some miracle, Kyla had been relatively unharmed and even Garrett in the backseat with Rory hadn't been as hurt.
She was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, to stop the internal bleeding from her broken ribs which had punctured some of her internal organs. She had a skull fracture on the right ride of her head when it had hit the window. The doctors weren't sure she would make it through the night. Dr. Cian Eland had rushed to the hospital being one of the first doctors to specialize in supernatural medicine, mixing magic and medicine. Immediately a blood drive had been organized by her best friend Song with her leading the line to donate blood to the vampire. Cian hadn't been sure the dancer would make it through the night. But she did and then they had done all they could and all they could now was wait and hope she would wake up.
And wait they did. Only her immediate family was allowed in her ICU room and her brother never left her side, the hospital staff making accommodations for him, so no light could come into the room. It was Heith who was asleep or dozing in a chair beside her bed when Rory opened her brown eyes. The bright light (which wasn't so very bright) hurt her eyes and she made some sort of noise that was almost a groan or a moan. She turned her head away from the light and raised a hand to her fuzzy and achey head, only to feel something weird in her hand. She raised it into her vision and saw the tubes attached to her. She was confused and rolled her head to the right, to see her brother dozing. "Heith?" she whispered, her voice soft. Her throat hurt. All of her hurt. Trying to shift made EVERYTHING hurt and she couldn't stop the hiss of pain and the black spots in her vision at the pain.
