She could see her ex was startled that it was her walking through the door and not someone else. Maybe his roommate or someone else, less...well not her. It was common knowledge that the two had dated, but it was less known that it was something that had been serious and very real. It was more then sex and parties, she had been more herself with him then anyone else. Of course being herself meant that the boy with an addicting personality was made even worse, just by being around her. And there in was the real problem wasn't it? That all the people she cared about would be destroyed by her. This had become increasingly obvious to the half-demon. She was so distracted by her own depressing thoughts she hadn't noticed how his eyes moved over her and the compliment about her new hair choice was barely paid attention to.
"Thanks," she did manage to say, showing just how distracted she really was, not to bask in the compliment from him, or try to turn this into an opportunity for sex. Bradyn told her they could talk in his room and she followed him into the familiar space. He sat on the bed after closing the door behind him, his eyes on her as he patted the bed beside him. She sat beside him for a moment, not even sure how to begin, all she knew was that she couldn't keep this inside anymore. He asked her what was wrong and that was the opening she needed.
"Me," she answered, softly in her low voice. "I'm wrong. Everything about me, everything that is me, its all wrong. And all I ever do is hurt people I care about, without even trying. It's in my nature." Tears threatened to fall, but she didn't let them, not yet. "Lourdes, Detroit, Elektra, even you. Just being around me makes people make bad choices." She looked down at her hands and the tears fell.
