WHO: Gerard and Mercy WHEN: Backdated during vacation. WHERE: The Salem's "cottage" by the lake. WHAT: Oh who knows. Couple cuteness? Almost or certain naughty behavior? ;) RATING: PG-13 > Possibly R eventually
Gerard had been planning on taking his girlfriend somewhere they could be alone all summer. He'd made sure none of his sisters would try and intrude, and ran the idea of using it past his father for good measure. He didn't exactly think his dad would say no, and he typically wouldn't have asked, but he didn't want his parents crashing his plans either. Once everything was squared away, he had told Mercy about the plan and they'd picked a few days to drive down and just enjoy each other's company. It wasn't anything special really, no grand island or resort, but Gerard had always loved spending time at the lake house. There were a lot of things to do, a considerable house to enjoy, and ample grounds that held various other forms of entertainment that didn't center around the typical lake stuff. (Boating, wake-boarding, waverunners, etc) He had arranged for there to be minimal staff and was hoping to try for a little more romance than he was typically capable of. It was easy to be romantic with Mercy, or so he thought, but he was still learning.
The ride to the lake had been nice, if not a little long, but they made it around mid-afternoon just like he'd hoped. There was plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day outside, though Gerard could think of a few indoor activities they could do too. Pushing those thoughts away for a moment, he squeezed Mercy's hand as she had nodded off beside him in the car. "We're here, baby. Rise and a shine."
