He had such an effect on her. Kalifornia had never been able to put in to words exactly what that effect was, just that it could be quite... intoxicating. The way his eyes moved over her felt more like he was physically touching her. It brought up thoughts that she should most certainly not be thinking. She had a boyfriend, despite how mad at him she currently was.
"He has his moments" she told him. She purposely left it open as to whether Chester had more good moments than bad moments. Her perfect smile grew slightly as he moved in closer, making it clear his intention to stay. She shouldn’t enjoy having him around as much as she did. She should do the polite but distant thing all the Salem’s did when confronted with a von Hexe. It never worked with Lux.
Kalifornia didn’t protest as he took her phone from her hand. It wasn’t hard for her to figure what he was thinking as he handed her the glass of champagne. She smiled brilliantly as he took the photo with him. She sipped the champagne in her hand as she watched him type on her phone. Her smirk echoed his as he posted. A smirk that grew as she read his post.
Before she could answer him her phone buzzed. Of course he would text her now. She glanced at the phone quickly before looking up at Lux again. She smiled again as she slipped her phone back in her bag.
"So how do you plan to entertain me for the evening?"
