As Kalifornia answered him, Lux raised an eyebrow, taking a moment to make a bigger production of drinking in the vision that was Kalifornia Salem in that sparkling, off the shoulder black gown. It was obvious that Luxian liked what he saw, his sparkling blue eyes moving over her shapely form, admiring the sleek dress and the woman in it. As his eyes made their way back to her face, but not before tracing the freckles dusting her shoulders, there was something in his eyes, that was more then just admiration of the beautiful witch.
"Well clearly he's stupider then I thought," he said with a smirk as he raised his champagne flute to his plush lips. "His loss is my gain this evening." He didn't ask if she minded if he joined her, instead moving to lean against the marble rail, facing her.
"May I make a bold suggestion?" he asked, that dangerous charming smile on his lips. Without waiting for her answer, he took the phone from her hands and switched to the camera. He handed her a glass of champagne and then picked his own back up.
"Smile, gorgeous." A flash later and a perfect selfie of the two of them smiling and toasting the camera was on screen. Blue eyes flicked to Kalifornia and then he was typing on her phone, blue eyes sparkling with wicked humor. A moment later and there was that photo of them on her Instagram feed with the caption (Eartha Kitt lyrics, to one of his favorite songs, by the way) "Do you wanna take me cruising on an ocean liner to places I long to see? Well, with my champagne taste and your beer bottle pockets, don't forget to write me when you get there in your row-boat, when you've paddled across the sea without me. #champagnetaste #newyearseve #class."
He handed her back her phone with that wicked smirk. "Now put your phone away and stop giving that slacker any more of your night. He made the wrong choice, now let him live with it."
Almost thirty seconds later her phone buzzed and they both looked down to see Chester's name and an unread text message. Luxian raised his glass to her.
