Suddenly, the whole scene has changed...Logan hates being restrained, and Remy knows it...the traumas of his past flash through his mind, juxtaposing with his present, searing, terrifying...Logan's breath comes harsh and raspy, his chest heaving with anxiety. The Wolverine in him is tense, ready to fight or flee...
Then he feels Remy's charm power touch him, a glow of familiarity, of heat and warmth amid the cold, bloody memories. His more feral side claws for it, clutching it to him like a frightened child with a security blanket, even as its fear dies down to let the man come back in control.
"I guess...guess it could be, Cajun...just do me one favor. I want you t'always be close by. Either touchin' me or talkin' to me, or else just by bein' somewhere I c'n see ya."
He looks at Remy with eyes unlike anything the Wolverine has ever shown. Fear...not necessarily of being bound, but of the animal coming out and hurting the man he loves. He's willing to do this for Remy...but the Wolverine is scared, in a way that he's never let himself be before.
