Laura looked up at the question, but a small smile appeared on her lips as she looked back at Ziggy, rubbing the little guy behind his ears. He looked almost like a raccoon, but for the jagged, zig-zagged shape to his stripes. The compliment made her smile grow, but she kept her face turned away.
But when he asked to sit, she glanced up, surprise on her face. Someone had seen she had been in a fight, had seen her bloody, and still wanted to sit by her? She shifted over a bit to make room. "Sí," she said. "Yes. I mean, I don't mind." She watched him for a moment longer. "What is your name?"
