Fen had another knife already in her hand and sending it right next to the last one. "Not unhappy. No. Not entirely. I mean, some terrible things happen but..." She was not ready to talk about the traumatic experiences with the faeries. Instinctively, her hand went to her stomach, but then she shook her hand and reached for another knife.
"Eliot's a good friend. He never made me feel uncomfortable although ideally, I would have preferred to have married for love. As for being wed still, I don't know. Fillory was destroyed. We've had relationships with other people since then."
She paused before she threw the next knife, realizing how it all sounded. Not that she had proclaimed that she had feelings for Morpheus or anything but she was self-aware enough to know she did. Regardless of what Eliot and Margo had told her about staying safe and keeping a distance, she still hung out Morpheus and found herself really liking him.
"Should I have been candid about that earlier in our friendship?" Because that's all they were right now, right?
