Re: Loki/Mobius
This made for a very conflicting situation for Loki. Truly, he didn’t want to kill Mobius. But, at the same time, if he was going to kill Mobius then he wanted to do it. He didn’t want someone else to take that from him. Certainly not some whining stranger in a white hat. He also kind of wanted to kill Anakin just for being an annoyance and getting in his way, but Loki also knew that he wouldn’t be able to. Even if he wanted. Even if he tried. Something inside of him would stop him from putting a bullet through Anakin’s brain. Just as it had stopped him from doing the same to Natasha.
He clenched his teeth. Biting down on his molars helped him forget about the pain in his side. The pain that was gushing blood through his shirt, staining the black even darker under the shadow of night.
But then Anakin took it too far. He tried to intrude on Loki’s privacy by interrogating Mobius. And if there was anything Loki hated more than his feelings, it was other people knowing about them. Not that this Mobius knew anything. But one thing Loki had learned about Mobius—all versions of Mobius—was that he was very good at guessing. He had a knack for figuring things out.
So Loki shot at Anakin. Programming wouldn’t let him go for a kill shot. But maybe a graze on the arm would convince him to walk away. “It’s none of your business. Like I said, this is between me and the man with the mustache. You just scurry on off to some other pasture while you still can.”
