Re: Loki/Mobius
For his part, Loki found himself in a very confusing position. He had his memories of who he was and how he felt about the people in his life. But they were hindered by this seemingly uncontrollable impulse to hurt people. He'd shot at Thor without thinking. He hadn't even hesitated. He was more cautious with Natasha because something inside of him, the programming he was barely aware of, told him that she was like him. And yet she seemed able to fight against this unnatural instinct. Whereas Loki—
Loki saw Mobius and his mind knew what he was supposed to do.
Shoot.
But he didn't want to.
His hand shook. Finger itching near the trigger, but unwilling to pull.
And then Anakin showed up. And Anakin didn't seem to have any hesitance.
The thing about robots—like people—they could be jealous. They could be territorial. And they could be just as vicious as their makers. And while Anakin wasn't meant to be a threat, he felt like one. Because Mobius was supposed to be Loki's kill. Like Thor. Like Sylvie if he should cross her path. Certain people were on Loki's list. And he wasn't going to share.
He re-aimed the revolver at Anakin. "Walk away, partner. Find another person to play pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey. This one's mine. This one owes me."
