Re: PROMPT 2: Kate Bishop (and Loki)
Loki stayed where he was for a second longer, eyes narrowed at what looked like a bare horse rump. He could visual what flies looked like, but he wasn't seeing anything. He lifted a hand and let it pass across the space where Kate had waved her own hand. Nothing.
He shrugged, turned, and caught up step beside her.
"Maybe it's possible that you're seeing things," he casually told her. It was the natural conclusion to make. Surely he wasn't wrong. There wasn't anything there. He was about to add more when two doors burst open and a man emerged with his pistols drawn.
Loki's movements were without prior consideration. He jumped in front as a shield for Kate. Perhaps he would have done so in any other case if it came to it, but that knee-jerk heroic streak wasn't exactly something he possessed. He always sought another way first.
