After assessing the situation first thing in the morning after the reset and deciding that they weren't in any immediate danger, Jake laid back down like he always did to let Marc and Steven believe they were waking up on their own. Jake couldn't let his presence be known... Marc in particular wasn't psychologically stable enough to process his existence, and as such he was easy to fool. Steven, on the other hand, might actually be capable, but he was too goodie-two-shoes to accept Jake's methods. What made Jake most cautious were others in Derleth realizing there was a third alter, and then they'd stupidly try to tell Marc and Steven, not understanding this was the best arrangement for them. It worked, so stay out of their fucking business.
However, there was only so much staying behind the scenes Jake could handle, watching through Steven and Jake's eyes as they bumbled around week after week, clueless and pretending they didn't need or want Khonshu's assistance. In Jake's opinion, becoming Moon Knight was the best fucking thing that ever happened to them, when were they ever going to realize that?
When the other two thought they'd gone to bed for the night, Jake emerged to explore. There were Hispanic people here and there around Sweetwater, but because neither Marc nor Steven could speak Spanish, they didn't know what they talked about when they thought they couldn't be understood.
El Lazo, huh? And a town called Pariah, the descriptions of which were interesting. Sounded like something worth investigating.
He saddled a horse, bringing along some provisions for the ride. His first stop would be Las Mudas.
