The Wheel weaves us all into the Pattern, a role each of us must play if there is to be any hope for the future. I have seen what paths I might take, how the threads weave. In passing through the doorway, I might eventually have been rescued. I might have been killed in the attempt. My companions and I might all have been killed. Or my companions may never have come at all. I never saw this place, but perhaps it will not make much difference. I must believe what I have done is enough.
