That, in and of itself, wasn't unusual. Distraction really could have been his middle name. Maybe he could change it legally. Use it as his new codename. DISTRACTION! With bows and arrows!
Kate groaned to herself, rubbing the corner of her eye from beneath her sunglasses. Why was the sun so damn bright? Lucky didn't even seem to notice as he trotted along beside her to the Storage Facility. She'd already been to Clint's apartment, to his work, and now this was the last place she could think to find him. If he wasn't here, she was going to call an all points bulletin on him. She could smell the mafia on that pizza place.
The door was unlocked. Either someone was inside or someone had been in side. Kate reached over her back and into her quiver. She held the arrow mid-shaft, ready to strike if whoever was trying to steal things was still there.
That was when she noticed Lucky's shift in demeanor. His tail began wagging faster, his tongue lolled out of the side of his mouth, and now he was scratching at the door to get in. Please let it be Clint and not someone else with pizza. She still gripped the arrow tightly just in case.
