Re: KEYLETH - DAY 4 [closed to Hunter & Vax]
Ok, yeah, illustrious had not been the right word. How was it that it was that word that even popped into his head. Illustrious? Really? He'd been spending too much time trying to impress the Blights and Coven Heads... He could have spent more time kicking himself for that slip up, especially as when she mentioned friends, he could see those hints and glimpses from the little he knew. Elements that could possibly be linked to Vax or Percy or the few things that the three had mentioned before.
Except that smoothing over attempt caught him off guard. Not that Keyleth was out here, looking for things for her friends. No, no, that made perfect sense. The scrambling afterward though to... not hurt his feelings? Is that what that was? That however... His eyebrows raised and eyes widened, at a loss of how to deal with that fumble. Only made worse by the fact that his ears felt warm which meant that the tips of them were doing that whole pink thing that'd been happening more often lately.
"No, no. That's- I wouldn't except you to- we don't really know-" he blundered along, realizing this was really not the sort of things he should be saying while others could overhear, but also unable to stop. "Really, you wouldn't-"
The stream of words was only broken by the cardinal landing on Keyleth's shoulder and chirping at Hunter. His brow furrowed. "What....?" His attention pulled away from trying to smooth over Keyleth's smoothing over, his stomach knotted up to see what whatever wares that she had been browsing seemed to be wrapped up, ready to go. "How... how did you pay for these?"
