Re: KEYLETH - DAY 4 [closed to Hunter & Vax]
Nobody could ever say Keyleth was observant. She was not cut out for this, for picking up on social cues. And how amusing it was, that her father thought her ready to lead an entire people of Ashari, but she couldn't even sus out the implications of what Hunter was trying to communicate to her. Such was the price of keeping her people tied to the Elemental Plan of Air.
"Illustrious?" Keyelth repeated, blinking in confusion. "I'm not sure I follow. I'm just looking for something to get my friends. Not that you're not a friend, just. I've known them a lot longer...shit I'm not good at this." She winced as she struggled to smooth this over.
"Not that they don't deserve something...what did you say...illustrious?" The soothing gesture was nice, though, and did serve to at least get her to reconsider this.
Unfortunately for them both, the shopkeeper did seem to already consider their transaction to be final. And Keyleth was none the wiser.
