Re: KEYLETH - DAY 4 [closed to Hunter & Vax]
Gods, where was Vex when she needed her the most? Keyleth was absolute shit at haggling, and it showed as she laughed nervously, realizing that whatever gold she had would probably have been left with the unofficial treasurer of Vox Machina. She might be able to scrounge up a few pieces, but nothing to cover everything she had her eyes set on.
And why did they have to be so nice-looking? Almost as if this market knew exactly what it was she would want to buy.
Her attention was so closely drawn to the shopkeeper, and to appeasing them so as to strike a fair deal that she barely noticed the appearance of another, someone who had become an unexpected fixture in her life recently. Helping to craft shelter and add her own floral touch to the vine huts had been a rather nice distraction from the unsettling nature of this place. She almost jumped right out of her skin when she felt the hand on her arm, and had to clap a hand over her mouth to prevent her yelp! from being heard and attracting attention. Which was a good thing, since Hunter clearly did not want his intervention to be completely obvious.
"What? I'm just browsing!" There was no harm in just...looking right? Even if she had been up until a moment ago about to complete a transaction.
