KEYLETH - DAY 4 [closed to Hunter & Vax]
With a little bit of hindsight, Keyleth would relent that it wasn't the wisest idea to wander through a market in a place she was clearly out of her element amidst. As it stood, she was still very much getting used to this new setting and her resolve had been slowly crumbling since finding out that not only was she no longer in Exandria with no way of escaping back home, but on top of that, her friends that happened to be here all had fewer memories than her and this place was somehow even more dangerous than the Feywild with its tricks and its stipulations.
Besides, the market reminded her so much of Emon before the dragons attacked. If she closed her eyes, she could almost hear the sounds of the townsfolk chattering and smell the array of food vendors, and imagine the distinct blue and purple fabrics that marked Gilmore's Glorious Goods. It's enough nostalgia to tear down her walls long enough to drown out any warnings that she might have heeded if she were more in her right mind. Before long, she found herself drawn in by a charismatic shopkeeper who professed to carrying magical trinkets. Considering this place, they very well could have been magical, but that mattered less to Keyleth than picturing the looks on Vox Machina's face when she presented them with gifts to cheer them up.
Was it a good idea? No. Was Keyleth doing it anyway? ...Absolutely.
