I might have suggested your tricorder could determine if food was poisonous or not. Is that possible?
If we could get a replicator working this week, that would probably be good.
Captain's Log - Personal: Stardate unkown, relative date - Week 3 Day 1
This place seems to be constantly full of surprises. Spending one week as a horse (well during the day), another in 1940s Los Angeles, and now... well, this remind me of quite a few planets we visited. I can't help but wonder if there's anything in the thickets that's hunting us.
It was good to be back in the Mojave - the stars were a bit off in position, but 200 years will do that, but it still felt like home. Half expected to find Tango in the barn.
I know it's only been a few weeks but I'm already starting to thing of the people here like crew - we have to look out for one another. That's the only way to survive. I didn't expect there to be so many kids, though. Some of them younger than cadets. They seem resilient, but...

The nightmares are still a thing. Kat would tell me to talk about it, to face it, but how can I face a future in anohter world? I don't want to run away from it. I won't.
Orlin mentioned Talos IV. I... don't know what to make of that, but now I can't help thinking of them. And her.
