Marc reached over and took the phone, giving Elsa a quizzical look after her fantastic leap. He tried imagining her as an ordinary human, but those humongous EYES were unsettling... Marc had a hard time tearing himself away to glance at his phone to unlock it and check his voicemail. There was one that he didn't recognize from before, but it had already been listened to... curious, but Marc didn't question.
"Paper airplane?" he asked, pressing play to listen. The message was short and really didn't help clear things up any better.
"Pulled me here..." he repeated, skeptically.
The screen of his phone went black and Marc happened to glance down at it again... to see not his own reflection... but Khonshu... gazing back at him.
The cartoon woman is telling the truth, he said in a voice only he could hear.
"I thought I told you to stay the hell away!" he reacted angrily, snapping instinctively at Khonshu, but then realized Elsa was still standing nearby. He nervously smiled and explained, "Sorry... somebody texted me."
This is a pocket dimension, Khonshu continued, I do not know how we arrived here but...
Konshu's sentence was cut off when Marc hastily stuck his phone into the pocket of his trousers. Trying to come across as normal, he smiled. "Er... hi..." then decided that he should really stand up, which he did, introducing himself with a little wave. "I'm Marc, by the way."
He was convinced that he'd fucked up... she probably thought he was crazy. Then again, he was. Also, she was a cartoon... so maybe he'd become even more crazy?
