As awful as this may sound, I'm glad to hear your mindset on the matter. It can be harrowing to know that you're destined to die, knowing how and approximately when. I was going to say, there are worse ways to die, and it isn't permanent, but you already know that.
You brought up Natasha being upset, and I think that's what the real issue is. You've come and gone from Derleth before, along with other friends of hers... she won't admit how much distress that puts her through.
