"No? That's too bad," she commented. Granted, her day didn't start off on a good note. Yet, she figured there might be some differences between the two. Afterall, unless she was mistaken, it was likely he had no idea about Derleth. "At least you can find a silver lining, that's good, right?"
As Lara opened up her own mailbox, she shuffled through the nonsense. "It's alright. I'm still trying to catch up on the work I missed while I was in England." It was still very strange for her, but at this point she was just going to go with the flow. "Not much recently, but now that I have access to my estate, I have a shipment of relics coming in that belonged to my father. I still need to catalog and go through it all, never know, might be something interesting there." It certainly wasn't the first time, it's how she became acquainted with Stephen. "His study is filled with maps and notes on legends." She shrugged. "Never know what might turn up, right?"
Deciding to test the waters she asked. "Anything new and exciting for you? Any fun parties last night?" Perhaps he was at the Toga party after all and Lara just hadn't met him yet.
