Steve glanced over, and for a flash of a moment was truly concerned. The man seemed to need a landing point, and it wasn't like Steve himself was any authority. Still, he felt a pull to side with the stranger, and possible new friend. Who felt like an old friend.
"It's about what you see, right? What you know," he near-chirped. It even sounded like a bad company-monologue to him, but that didn't invalidate it either. He turned towards the other as they walked slightly, suddenly intent on selling his presense.
"If you need company for lunch... I mean, I can manipulate two hours of my schedule a day round then. Supervisor discretion, even if it's not level 6," he winked. His reputation as a rule stickler only stood as long as he maintained it, after all.
