“What could you say about me exactly? That I’m always one thing or another happening? Or that I’m rarely affable?” Loki grinned before letting go of Strange’s hand in order to wrap both his arms around his neck; deftly turning this dance into another round of will-he-or-won’t-he. Well, he couldn’t be expected to make everything easy all of the time. Besides, they’d already agreed that this wasn’t the right week for whatever it was they were doing. And Loki had plans for the reset.
But he could give Strange this dance. Even if it was only going to last a few minutes. That was a few minutes Strange could hold onto in his dreams.
Loki wouldn’t tell.
“I can be nice when I want to be. When I choose to be. But I have a reputation and no one expects me to be cordial. So I prefer to save those moments for when I can really put someone at a disadvantage.” A pause. “Or for people I actually tolerate.”
