Who: Michael Guerin and Luke Skywalker What: Michael's arrival Where: Carter Hall, Room 306 When: Morning, Day 2 Warnings: tbd Status: closed/in progress
One minute, Michael was standing in a cave with Max and Isobel, staring at some mountain-man doppelganger of Max, wondering what the fuck was going on. The next, he was standing in the middle of what looked to be a college dorm room that, from a brief glance out the window, did not appear to be in New Mexico. As far as he was aware, none of them had the power to teleport, so he had no idea what just happened or where he was. The thought that there was some other alien out there who had taken control of him the way that Noah had to Izzy for all those years crossed his mind. Maybe the Max look alike?
"... the fuck?" he grumbled, looking around the small room for any clues that might tell him where he was or how he'd gotten there. "Max? Izzy?" he called, opening the door to the room and looking out into what was most definitely a dorm hallway. He may not have ever gone to college, but he'd attended some college parties and was all too familiar with what the dorms looked like. If this was the work of the dude from the cave, what was the purpose? Making him go back to his Airstream or putting him in jail or something would at least sort of make sense. Maybe. Sending him to a dorm room on a college campus definitely did not in any way that Michael could fathom.
He pulled out his phone, saw that he had a message, and listened to it. Not only did it not give him any useful information, it made him nervous. The experiment? That didn't sound good. If he hadn't seen Jesse Manes die, he'd be certain the man was behind whatever this was. If this was some kind of experiment, did that mean Isobel and Max were here too? Wherever here was. Had their secret gotten out? Was fucking Liz involved somehow? He knew Max loved her, but even though they'd worked together to bring him back, Michael didn't trust her one bit. She was way too interested in making scientific advances to care about the ethical implications involved.
Leaving the room, he walked up and down the hallway, knocking on doors, and not finding anyone around. Eventually he went back to the room where he'd first showed up and sat on the bed, trying to figure out a game plan. Looking through the phone, he found a message about some kind of party and figured it was as good a place as any to start.
