Well that all depends on what ethical considerations were taken when setting up the experiment. Even in some of the most controversial set ups, the Stanford Prison Experiment for example, participation was still voluntary. There's also the matter of informed consent and participant confidentially and without those very basic considerations, it's hard to imagine the research data would be seriously considered by even the most lax academic organizations.
