NEW PLOT. NO EXITS: THE MUSICAL. (APRIL 16 - 30)
Once again, the campus sits in an unsettling but familiar white void.
Gone is the chaos or excitement of the previous week. What remains of Derleth University has returned to its gentle void so all its guests may recouperate in absolute peace. The dinning hall kitchens have been restocked, any damage to the campus undone. All is well again.
While normally weeks spent in the void can feel terribly constraining and dull, this week feels a little different. It feels a little more ... musical.
Is it fair if your emotions spill out of you in song format? No. Is it kind of cool that you suddenly have some sweet dance moves? Maybe. But hey, at least it won't be boring?
☑ Yeah, I know writing music in RP is tricky. I'm hoping you guys have fun with it. Perhaps network convos can break into song that everyone in the convo can suddenly hear and be a part of like a musical movie split screen with stage directions in italics. Maybe you create a mini ic/ooc post? Perhaps this inspires a log. I'm challenging you to somehow incorporate music in your RP this plot. For every single character at least once.
☑ Songs can be existing songs repurposed for this musical (think any Magicians musical episode) or original compositions (like Once Upon A Time's musical episode -- yes, I'm purposefully avoiding the creator who shall not be named) which you can say OOCly are of a particular genre or sound. It's entirely up to you and what you think is IC. Described dance numbers with no singing also count.
☐ In the old days of RP I would have made pretty badge icons for anyone who met whatever challenge I put down. (Remember those days?) I may honestly think of some other reward for anyone who gets all of their characters to participate musically in some way during this plot. If you have suggestions, lemme know.
☐ Embrace the absurdity of this week. I hope you guys enjoy. I HAD TO TRY AT LEAST ONCE. And well, if it doesn't work out, there's always the next plot. ♥
