The solid embrace was returned, and Bucky felt the world steady under his feet. Steve had that kind of effect on him; the shaky pillars of his mind seemed to stabilize, and the web of his memory no longer felt frayed. Steve was real, so he was real, Bucky Barnes of Brooklyn, not a creation of Hydra called the Winter Soldier.
After a moment, he took a short step back, taking in the sight of the creature in Steve's arms. He'd done a bit of research after Pikachu had explained about the food and drinks, and glanced around for his pack. It had fallen from his hand some time after hearing Steve's voice. As he glanced around the corner, he spotted the odd creature that had been shadowing him all week, his pack dragging on the ground under it, the strap clutched in her tentacles.
"Oh. Thanks, Lolly," he said, stepping towards the creature. "Sorry about that." He took the pack and fished out a large fruit, offering it to Lolly. She gently wrapped a tentacle around it, then drew it up into her jellyfish-like body to devour it. Turning back to Steve, he drew a small packet from his bag and offered it to his best friend.
"Try giving it that. It should help." His brows furrowed as he looked more carefully at Steve, how he was moving. "You hurt, too?"
