Loki didn't know everyone's name and, to be honest, he didn't want to. He only kept a running list of people in his mind who paid him the attention he deserved. (Ego and narcissism were big factors in his engagement with others.) So everyone else was distinguished by what he knew about them in a general sense.
Hence, Klaus was the guy who lived in the greenhouse.
But that didn't matter to Loki. He could dance with anyone or anything. Because in his soul he was deeply crazy. And in some (very rare) cases such as this one, he kept his judgments to himself. He'd enjoyed most of Fillory, after all. And he wanted to enjoy the last few hours of it, as well. And Klaus wasn't that bad at dance. A little weird, but Loki liked weird. Weird he was used to.
