Who: Stiles and Derek

What: Stiles wants to prove that Derek has no control.

Stiles was nervous. It had been a couple of weeks since he had been alone with Derek, hell they hadn't even talked to each other since school started because Stiles had been avoiding Derek except during his class. There he could show off and impress his boyfriend. All the time apart made Stiles miss Derek a whole lot and he wondered how he was going to survive a full year without him. But they had to because Stiles knew he wouldn't be able to survive if Lily made him her pet again.

So taking a deep breath and rubbing his hands on his pants Stiles knocked on the door to Derek's private room.

Derek, for his part, wasn't nervous. Excited, elated, and a little horny (he wasn't even out of his teens yet, give him a break), but not nervous. It had been a long time since he felt nervous around Stiles.

At the knock, Derek dropped his pen on the essay he was grading and went to open the door. He waited for Stiles to come in and shut the door before he enveloped him in a hug, snuffling his neck. "Missed you," he mumbled.

	"Derek," Stiles had tensed when he was engulfed by the older male but he was quick to return the hug and relax in Derek's arms. He felt safe and loved there and he really didn't want to leave them. Derek did his best to rub his scent over Stiles, trying to erase the stink of other people. He didn't think he'd feel this...possessive. "We need to find a way for you to see me more often. I couldn't smell myself on you."

Finally pulling away, Derek smiled and stroked Stiles' hair. "Is a little platonic cuddling off the table? Because I was thinking we could do that, or if you brought homework I could help you, or we can just sit and talk. Whatever you want."

Stiles let out a soft laugh as Derek nuzzled and rubbed him and he knew what the older male was doing before he even spoke of about his smell on Stiles. "Maybe because we haven't touched in a couple of weeks? I can't smell of you all of the time Derek.

"I think all we can do is sit and talk. It is bad enough that I am in a teacher's personal room," Stiles pointed out and he even gave the door a worried look. "Maybe this was a bad idea."

"I can't take your things," Stiles said knowing it would be no use. Derek had a thing about his scent on Stiles and no matter what he said or did would change it. "And is I look tired meaning I look like shit? Because you can blame my teachers. They all seem to have gotten the idea to give us tests and essays to see what we remember.

"I still don't think I should be here but ok." Stiles was a little disappointed that Derek hadn't jumped him the moment he walked in the room but he didn't show it.

	"Where did they get that idea?" Derek moved his hands to Stiles' shoulders and squeezed a little, digging his thumbs in. "I just meant that you look like you haven't been sleeping well. Stiles let out a soft little noise when Derek squeezed his shoulders. He practically melted under the touch. "I'm fine," Stiles said looking at Derek. The homework hadn't really bothered him, it was more sleeping alone and not having Derek beside him to protect him from Lily or anyone else that could sneak into the Hufflepuff common room and dorms.

"We've talked," Stiles said as their noses pressed together. "I ask a million questions in class."

"I think Natasha and Clint are having a rough patch right now," Stiles said even though he knew he should keep his mouth shut. He just hadn't talk to Derek since before the train and he missed talking to him.

"I don't want to leave. I really don't but what if another teacher came to talk to you?" Stiles asked softly because he really didn't want to leave Derek's arms. "and I already got the goodies. You sent Nightwing remember?"

"Oh god. One minute of peace, is that too much to ask? Do you want to talk about it?"

Derek shook his head. "Most of the other teachers avoid me and in the odd case they decided to visit, well, we aren't doing anything so they wouldn't be able to say that we were."

He bit his lip and took a breath, looking at Stiles. "This is. It's something I should give you in person. You don't have to accept it, okay?" He fumbled in his pocket for the simple silver band, inlaid with jewels for both of their birthstones twining together, and pressed it into Stiles' hand.

	Stiles had a comment about an underage student in a teachers private room when Derek continued on and pressed a ring into his hand. Stiles blinked and opened his hand to look down sat the ring. "It's...it's whatever you want it to be. Whatever you're ready for." Derek fidgeted, looking away from Stiles and gnawing at his lip. "For me it's a promise. It's a sign that I love you and, for as long as you wear it, you love me. Maybe we can't be together for now but in two years you'll graduate and we can do whatever we want then, and I don't want you to forget about me. You don't have to accept," he was quick to add. "But I know how much you hate me keeping things inside so...all my cards are on the table, now."

	"You didn't do it on your knee!" Stiles holds out the ring to Derek to take it back. "Get on your knee and try it again." 	"What?" A slow, hesitant grin spread over Derek's face and he slowly sank to one knee, taking Stiles' hand and cradling it gently between his own. "Oh that is cheesy. I take it back. I like the first way better." Stiles was then in Derek's arms, pushing them both over in his rush, and they landed with a thud. Stiles was grinning from ear to ear as he looked down at Derek as he nodded. "Yes. Yes I will be your husband, you big dork!" Stiles then was kissing Derek as he squeezed the older male at the same time.

	Derek let out a cry as he was shoved, winding up with an armful of Stiles. He had just enough time to laugh before Stiles was kissing him, and Derek just melted, wrapping himself around Stiles.
