Who:Luna Lovegood and OPEN What:Not sure yet? Aimless wandering for a start Where:The grounds When:3/15 midday Rating:Low I imagine? It seemed like it had been forever since she had been out of the castle. Lately she had made a habit of watching creatures and things from windows on the lower floors. Once or twice she had ventured out, but it just never seemed quite right. Nothing was right. She could pretend and play along all she wanted. Deep down she knew things were all wrong and there was nothing she could do. She only had what time the Ministry had allowed to truly grieve before being expected to move on and start life over again. They made it sound so very easy.
The whole thing absolutely terrified her. She had no idea how to act around men to begin with without suddenly finding herself someone's wife. It made her head spin and she often found it much easier to lose herself in something she enjoyed rather than dwelling on what was to come. That detachment was something she depended on not to completely lose herself, but it got to her now and then. Like now, it was much easier to simply wander the courtyard, pausing now and then to examine something strange or some creature that had wandered onto the grounds. It allowed her not to think. When she talked to anyone it only reminded her all the more and if she wasn't doing something it was all she could think about. There was so much she was supposed to do. That they were supposed to do. The brief thought as she stood back up from looking at a particularly colorful caterpillar made her sigh, feeling the tears prick at her eyes. She didn't want to cry anymore. She was stuck in that place between, where you want to move on but can't bring yourself to because you're afraid you'll forget. That everything before was meaningless. But it wasn't and she knew it wasn't. One day, she would get back on track and do everything they were supposed to do.
For now she continued on her way, completely unaware of anyone nearby. Which was why she walked right into them while she was looking off into the distance.
