I love how he's trying so hard to alter the cycle of what had happened over the centuries, at least for this dragon and this sacrifice, and maybe the others as this continues. And he knows he's likely going to die, but he's doing it anyway, because that's the sort of guy he is.
Sephdragon's desperation for his sacrifice, the thing that is his, and his alone, is almost heart-rending. His comments on the state of humanity amuse me, though.
