Original characters: "First time" (Levi and Parf) Title: First time Artist:elanor_pam Fandom: Original story Pairing/characters: Levi, Parf Rating: PG Warnings: none really. Prompt/challenge: "first time" Author's Notes: Amazingly enough, the prompt coincided with a long-planned scene from my story, so I went for it. ^_^
Quick run-down:
Parf is the main character, a sexist asshole in his twenties with a huge ego and a talented weapons master in a sekrit mission from an estranged uncle. Weapons masters are in really low demand thanks to magic and arquebuzes, but they tend to have this huge pride that keeps them from learning any non-physical, non-personal combat technique. Levi is an annoyingly cynical, know-it-all 13-year-old kid who fancies himself much more mature than most around him, and it's sadly true when Parf's around. He claims to be in pursuit of "new knowledge", and decided to learn swordsmanship from Parf on a whim. He's also on Parf's case to make him learn magic, which the older man refuses. There's a third character, a woman/con-artist called Iporá. Eventually, Parf's assholerishness and complete disregard for their wants, comfort, safety, opinions and capabilities drove the two others away, but Levi left a magical tome to see if he'd get a "hint". Which he did, after much denial, whining and childish pouting. He even tried to read the book. A little. But still was completely unable to make a campfire.
This is a rescue scene, after Levi and Iporá got in trouble because of Parf, and right after leaving him. He did his first decent act and went to their rescue, only to manage a fireball in this really emotionally charged rescue scene that's kind of blurry in my head. That's Levi in the background, staring in disbelief.
