Who: Os, Saorise, Sioniann and Dante
Where: Cafe in human territory
When: July 26th, morning
What: Os gets a message from the past
Being San Francisco was hard for Os. Not just because of why he and Sao were here, but because he was so close to this daughter here. He had never been this close to her for so long and it was getting hard to resist the urge to just take her back. What was stopping him here? Maybe it was that he wasn't sure how he would explain the situation to Sao or it was just a gut feeling. No Man's Land couldn’t last forever and if he took Lark back now he wouldn’t be able to give her up again. She would be in danger with him in the rest of the world. Even with Ressa in prison. Os never for a second doubted the range of Ressa reach, even from such a guarded facility. So for now he just watched when he could. His little girl already looked so much like her mother. If anyone even had a hit of who she was there would be no denying it. It was a good thing no one even knew she was here.
Os forced his thoughts back to the present as he placed a cup of coffee in front of his partner. In NML there wasn’t a whole hell of a lot for them to do but he and Sao had already fallen in to a bit of a routine. Morning check in at the cafe was just the start of it. Not that either of them had all that much to check in about. Their lives had gotten increasingly easier since they were left on the beaches of the city.
"Morning." he said as he took his regular seat. "Have you decided if you are going to that dinner at your father's?" Sao's relationship with her father was one of the most ever changing parts of life here. It was always one of the first topics he brought up and currently Jordan Todd had invited his daughter over for a "Family Dinner" in a very obvious attempt to establish a new relationship and try to get her to accept his new wife. Previous attempts had not gone well for him.
