January 30, midday
Who: Jesse and Makayla Where: Book Nook and out on the town When: January 30, midday What: A day out
Despite the fact that Makayla was a secret psychic and dating a rather dangerous vampire with a close association with her potentially most dangerous enemy, her life was...well, rather dull. Her nights were usually filled with Cyrus, and although on occasion they went out, they were typically homebodies. That was more than fine with Makayla, but her days had become monotonous now that she had something to look forward to come nightfall. Sitting around the bookstore absorbed in novels and histories all day, hardly seemed as thrilling as it once had.
The boring librarian was coming out of her shell, even if it was very slow and subtle. Laying back in the chair behind her desk, her legs propped up on the counter, peeking out from the slit in her long cotton skirt. She snuggled deeper into her warm sweater, contemplating on taking a nap. No one had been in the store for an hour. Maybe she should make some coffee and try to wake herself up. The past few months had certainly switched her internal timeclock.
Hearing the doorbell jingle over the door, she looked up, a big grin sliding over her lips. "Well hello there, Detective," she teased, giving her new arrival a hard time, "What have I done this time to warrant a visit?" They'd met up several times for friendly chats since he investigated the attack on her store months ago. Not only was he a cop and a genuinely nice guy, but he was human, someone she could typically relax around. And certainly it was an interesting change in her life that she now had someone she could almost call a friend stopping by.
