His mentality was pretty much shot to hell, but there wasn't really much to be done about it. Not when there was no way to keep him from ashing his way through pretty much anything in range. He was afraid that by morning he'd be knee deep in ash and the walls would be starting to wear through...which was one of the reasons he was moving from place to place in the room. It was worst within a couple feet of him and he didn't want to risk eating right through the floor or walls if he stayed in one place too long.
"Thanks. That's great, Pete, I really appreciate it." He managed another anemic smile. At least the rate of decay around him seemed to have slowed a bit, and if the music gave him something to focus on it might stay that way.
