It had taken her too long to track Rogue down. She hadn't wanted to scare the young woman and she most certainly didn't want to give away that she was a mutant. Rogue had left for a normal life and whether Ororo agreed with her decision or not, she respected it and wasn't about to back her into a corner. However, if what they were seeing was correct, her powers could come back slowly with no clue that it was happening or worse, all at once. She may not have been privy to Rogue's full life story but she knew enough to realize how damaging that could be to her mentally.
When she finally drove up to the building, knowing that she should be working there that evening, her heart skipped a beat. Stuck in her throat like a lump of coal, she swallowed against it. Sirens, lights, and guns. The last thing she felt like dealing with. Still this was when staying calm really came in handy. Well, that and a stray bit of lightening could be pretty dangerous. Stepping from the vehicle she adjusted her suit jacket, trying to look the professional, and headed inside. She had to show her ID to a few people and explain that she was looking for someone inside before they let her through.
She took a quick visual sweep of the area, people on the floor, a mess, a brawl possibly. NOPD rushing after a man on the floor and one with his hands up. She finally caught sight of Rogue and let out a slow breath as she headed over. "Rogue? Are you all right?" She glanced down to her hand and worried she was already too late.
