Though she was told not to blame herself this night would be something Rogue played over in her head for awhile to come. She tended to obsess about her character flaws a little too much. And then Ororo was telling her she should be proud of herself for the life she had made. Again she had no words to speak for fear of being overcome with emotion. It was something she avoided with purpose.
Letting Ororo go, she forced a smile. "I should go talk to Pete an' give him my statement. You can meet Remy, too. He may have saved my life tonight."
She held the door open for Ororo to pass through before following her out into the torn apart bar. She pointed subtly toward Remy, watching as the officer he spoke to nodded and wrote something down. "That's him. Found out he was a mutant when he threw some peanuts at the other mutant an' they exploded. Not really sure what that means as far as what he can do goes, but..." She trailed off and shrugged. Pete turned his attention in Rogue's direction and she sighed.
"Guess I better go get this over with an' then give Harry a call. I'll be back."
