"Old fashioned comin' right up." It was a true enough observation; Rogue was continually doing one thing or another, and it was exactly how she liked it. The nights it was slow, and there were plenty of those nights, her shift was almost unbearable. Being busy was something she had always enjoyed, no matter her setting.
She placed the man's drink on the coasted and slid a napkin across the bar with it. "We are never this busy in the middle of the week," she admitted good-naturedly. "Usually I can pick out people I know and who's been here for awhile bit tonight I can't even tell who's comin' an' who's goin'." She paused in her conversation with the man as someone handed her a receipt and some money. "You want change, darlin'? No? All right then, you have yourself a good one."
The question hadn't gone unheard, and Rogue's gaze traveled over to the band. "That's Jenn Howard and her band. They play 'round here a lot this time of year. I think she comes home for Christmas and lines up a bunch of gigs to keep herself from goin' stir crazy." Giving her attention back to her customer, her head tilted slightly. "Judgin' by your accent, I'd say you been around here long enough to probably have seen her a time or two."
Harry came up beside her to tell her his shift was over, saying he'd stay if she thought she'd need the help. "Go on home, Harry. I can handle these boys." As Harry left, Rogue asked, "Can I get you anythin' else? Somethin' to eat?"
