Her mouth dropped open and she looked at Logan. "I am not a killjoy!" No one had ever called her such a thing. Even if he was joking, it wounded Kitty's pride a little. She was an analyzer to the point of obsession sometimes, and would now hear those words spoken in his voice every time she said something to bring down someone's fun. "I used to like you, you know."
Purposely ignoring Logan now, she turned her eyes to Threnody, brow wrinkling in thought. "You can say that. Logan's been part of the Xavier family for a long time now." Her voice softened as she spoke. Sometimes even saying the name brought up sadness. Charles Xavier had been the best man she had ever known, and for those who knew him, the lack of his presence was felt nearly all the time.
She picked up her own bag, actually tired now and thinking she might be able to get a few hours of sleep before the halls started getting noisy again. "I'm going back to my room to crash now." She gave a half wave and paused at the door to add, "Welcome home, Logan," before heading back to her room.
