Though she strained to hear whatever it was that made Logan sit up and take notice, Kitty knew it was no use unless whoever was coming made a loud enough noise for her boring normal senses to pick up. For that reason, she watched his face for any indication what what he may learn just through listening and smelling the air. She moved slowly when he said whoever had been approaching had now gone.
"I know what you mean about more experience," she replied, going back to what they'd been talking about. "I'd be lying if I said I was comfortable here with Ororo gone for so long. After the professor...I just got so used to her always being here, you know?" She ran a finger around the rim of her mug, expecting Logan to turn down her invitation. It was worth a shot.
"Hey, have you heard from Rogue?" She looked up to get her answer, but saw Logan tense once more. Not being here for so long, it wasn't too big of a surprise that he didn't recognize the scent; half the students at the mansion would be new to him by now. For this reason, Kitty got up and fearlessly walked out into the hall. She did not expect to walk almost straight into her roommate.
"Terry!" It was a loud whisper with which she chastised Theresa. "Seriously? Are you trying to get yourself skewered?" Shaking her head and smiling slightly, she walked back into the kitchen. "It's my roommate." She paused, trying to recall any interaction the two would have ever had. Would they even know each other at all? Surely Logan's name would at least be familiar to her.
"Terry, Logan. Logan, this is Theresa Cassidy. Whatever you do, don't sneak up on her. She has a wicked scream."
